Winning in Other Ways – The Best Is Yet to Come

I didn't win the competition, and although it would’ve been fun to dance with Ciara, I feel like I won in ways that matter more. Every step I've taken--whether forward, backward, or even standing still, has shaped my journey. Sometimes, we don’t see the growth right away, but every experience has meaning.

Dance icon wasn’t just about competing; it was about evolving, pushing boundaries, and (re)discovering something greater within myself. The dedication, the hard work, and the passion I put into this and my entire journey mattered far more than any trophy. Victory isn’t always measured by first place, but what you take away from the experience. Dance has always been part of my life, but this helped me remember why: it’s not just about performances or results, but about the process, the lessons, and the love poured into every movement.

Through all my experiences in dance, my biggest inspirations remain Stella and Zenley. Before sharing my final slideshow with anyone else, I made sure they saw it first. They are my guiding light, my reason to keep moving. No stage or competition can compare to the moments spent dancing at home with them.

So, to anyone who has ever felt like they’re taking steps forward, backward, or even standing still- keep going (or dancing). Movement has a way of bringing people together, shaping us in ways we never expected. No matter what, embrace the journey, embrace yourself, and most of all:

dance out the fear and step boldly into who you are.
