I Guess I’m a 'Hand Person'.

I’ve realized something about myself—I guess I’m a hand person.

Hands tell a story. They show strength, tenderness, and everything in between. Whether it’s the way they hold, create, or even rest, there’s something about hands that fascinates me.

It’s funny—my daughters were making gifts one day and could choose to create anything they wanted. One of them made a unicorn sculpture, but the other? She made hands.

That same child once told me, when I drew my hand logo, “Mom, this is the best drawing I’ve ever seen, and no one could make it like you.”

There’s something so raw and real about hands. They remind me of that scene in Tarzan (one of my favorite movies) when Tarzan and the Mom put their hands together & then adult Tarzan and Jane compare their hands—how different they seem but how connected they are all the same. That moment has always stuck with me, and maybe that’s where my fascination started.

Maybe it’s because hands are always busy—working, comforting, building, holding the ones we love & the symbol of prayer.

They’re so simple, yet they carry so much meaning.

So yeah, I guess I’m a hand person.
